Green turns red and to yellow eventually

As autumn is working very hard to get itself noticed, I can't help myself but to enjoy the shortening days and the trees and plants changing shades. Soon the trees will be empty and the bushes will be brown. So for now, let's enjoy this dance of colors!

Image
♥ This is one of the churches in the town I live in and I am in love with the vegetation growing on it! The red leaves were last week, aren't they pretty! ♥

♥ As it was at the end of last summer. ♥

♥ The same church, with focus on the leadlight window you can see when peeking inside through the small window. It is striking me how I managed to take two pictures that are very similar with a two month difference. ♥

♥ Cute fluffy wool pumpkins. awww! Saw them at the town fair. ♥

♥ Sunday outfit. Simple long black dress (Jane Norman), Leather jacket against rising coldness (Tally Weijl) and the usual boots (van Haren). ♥

Sweet cold October

Image
Image
♥October has started. The season of cosiness, shortened days, pumpkins, mushrooms and acorns!

Sunday brought a super cute autumn fair to town. Little stands were selling home made breads and honeys and lots of adorable brocant home decorations. The market was small scaled, but totally adorable. Organized in the backyard of a farm, semi in the barn, semi outside. The (possible) last rays of sun of the year made all the colors even brighter.

♥ lovely little bed side tables we bought (are being painted atm ♥ lanterns hanging from the willow decorative laundry drying between trees brocant home deco and jewelry stand baskets full of signs of autumn; pine cones, corns and acorns "Hi nice you were here bye"

Image
♥ Flowers, berries and an apple. Everything looks better when the sun lays its shine on it.

Image
♥ Even Animal Crossing celebrates autumn with the Acorn Festival! Collecting acorns and donating them to Cornimer makes him give you presents, which are mushroom furniture! (mush stand, mush lamp, mush chair, much closet, mush bed, mush tv, mush dresser, mush table and mush stool)

Then what really made the Sunday complete was a nice walk in the woods near my childhood home. With my brother we looked for chestnuts. The edible ones were really small and still immature, so no chestnut paste this week. We looked for beechnuts and hazel nuts, but I guess it really still is too early for good nuts. However, the saw the beautifulest mushrooms, in a variety of colors; red (of course) and black and purple!

Image
♥ After one and half hours in the woods, mom awaited us at home with home made pancakes. That is just THE perfect finish for an autumny walk in the woods on a Sunday in October

Germany - Cologne

Image
♥For our 3 year anniversary, BF and I went to Cologne (Germany) for a weekend.
We stayed three days and two nights and the room he he booked was the Pink Suite. How awesome!?
Ow, and this is a newspaper I picked up in the ICE in Germany.

♥Back side of the Dom in moonlight.
The Dom of Cologne, situated next to the Hauptbahnhof, is a black cathedral. Its walls really are black.♥

Image
♥Into the holiness.

Image
♥First morning, Frühstuck (breakfast) was in this lovely authentic looking breakfast place.
First day I took a 'normal breakfast' (bread, jam, egg and hot chocolate),
but the second day I went all German with a 'Royal Breakfast' (bread, different kinds of meat, egg and also hot chocolate).

Image
♥Walked into a random church on Sunday where the mass was still going on, so we visited its small garden.
I love how church 'gardens' have tomb stones.

Image
♥Shopped so lovelily this weekend! This FUCK YOU YOLO dress is so wrong, it's awesome. I totally love it. (Nameless shop)

♥Other than that I shopped two more black dresses, a velvety one and one with leather straps; the ornamented leggings on the pic above (New Yorker); a fantastic bag (also in the pic above, Jumex); a pair of earrings (will surely be picted in a next post); a bow-belt with studs. Also tried on a billion high heels, but none of them were shaped for my feet.

Walking across the Neumarkt suddenly 1600 Pandas happen. WWF is asking for attention for the small amount of Pandas that are left in the wild, which is tragic of course, but the 1600 plastic pandas in the middle of the city center made me smile. They look so happy to get cuddled by all the people!♥
